Performance

Wendy performs effortlessly through a range of styles, contemporary and traditional, leaning towards folk but often dipping into the romantic French chanson style or some easy blues.

Her fresh and sensitive interpretations of contemporary and traditional Scots songs have won her widespread acclaim.

She performs both solo and accompanied. Her collaborations have been described as 'utterly beautiful', 'electric' and 'truly inspirational'. At Edinburgh's Festival Fringe 2008, she and guitarist, Tony Mitchell, received 5-star public reviews.

All Wendy's public performances, including this year's Festival Fringe, are publicised on the Events and News page.

She recently sang for Alastair Darling's 21st Anniversary at Westminster celebration:

'...fantastic! We were all touched by the consideration you put into the performance and your beautiful music.'

'She sings with great clarity and conviction, giving a fresh interpretation to Burns and traditional songs, and also contemporary Cohen, Piaf and Polwart.'
